The purpose of intercessory prayer is for our team to stand in the gap for one another as
an expression of selfless love. It helps us think beyond ourselves and grow in compassion. It is
one of the best ways to imitate Jesus, who prayed for others while on Earth. The bible says in James 5:16 to confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

The NBC’s outreach purpose is to serve others. We do this by going outside the four
walls of the church to put others before ourselves and to serve those in need. Matthew
25:35-36 NIV, For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave
me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you
clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.

At NBC, we believe we’re created for authentic, God-centered relationships and this
happens through our small groups. Proverbs 27:17 (NIV) As iron sharpens iron, so one person
sharpens another.

At NuBeginnings, we believe worshipping God means acknowledging and celebrating His
power and perfection in gratitude. Worship means respectful devotion- loving, honoring, and obeying God. It is a true response of the heart to the Father. John 4:23-24 says, But the hour cometh, and now is, when true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for
the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must
worship him in spirit and in truth.

The WWOP’s purpose is to become women who are so secure in our relationship with
God and who trust the promises He has made to us that we can Freely and Biblically lament the
sufferings of this world. Our foundation scripture is Jeremiah 9:20, Yet hear the word of the

Lord, O women. And let your ear receive the word of His mouth; teach your daughters wailing and everyone her neighbor a lamentation.
